A large factor that can deter from the essential feeling of safety in one’s own home is the invasive presence of pests. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, of the 124 million occupied housing units, 14 million reported seeing roaches within the last year, 14.8 million reported seeing rodents, and 2.9 million reported seeing both.
This converts to 11.29%, 11.93%, and 2.34% of occupied housing units noting cockroaches, rats, and both, respectively. Additionally, pests can be found in every type of apartment, from new to old or upscale to poor.
This is due to their pervasive nature, often small size, and ability to reproduce quickly with a great number of offspring. Therefore it is essential for pest control to spray in apartments. The presence of pest control in a community is essential to the coveted feelings of comfort that home provides to people.
